Our new Tender officially joins the fleet today. We have been flat out the last couple of weeks putting every thing we have into making her an asset to our team. Boasting a 3m beam means we can stack enough dive gear for multiple dives. Taking her casting for Gt’s, we now have double the length to spread you all out. If you join us for a long day adventuring she even has a bathroom. But the crews favorite feature is drop down bow ramp no longer will we be arguing over who does the croc test first.
Only 3 Spearfishing trips remain for the rest of 2022. Girls Spear Abrolhos run down. Going into any Cruise I usually have it all visualized how it’s going to go what to expect, but this one was different I had no idea how it was going to play some over 30 years in the water experience some had no idea how to load a speargun. What I didn’t expect was I would be blown away by their energy, instant success in the water, never give up attitude, passion for the ocean and literally no fear as the 57 year old spearo charges after a shark taking her prized Spanish mackerel. But the most amazing thing is we ended a cruise all as better people from what we just experienced. We are freshly back from a Scott Reef trip that blew away us away daily from hooking and landing Sails on bottom rigs doggies schooling at the boat out of nowhere, dogs on poppers and an 8 bar cod at our anchorage. Just when we thought we had seen the biggest we met this Trout, if we were able to weigh it on official club scales it might have been an Australian record at 16.1 kg and 103 cm.
